A bit of a tank from the weekend! Decided to mainly use crankbaits due to mild conditions and to enable me to cover as much water as possible. The Perch have not been playing ball on the Lea and I’ve really had to search lots of new areas and eventually found myself on a stretch I’ve never fished before. I knew it was a big perch from the moment I hooked it. What a fight! The 2 - 12g SoSolid rod bent double 🎣 3lb 10oz, 46cm, big fish for this time of year. Pulled off the motorway on the way home from the New Forest to quickly try my luck on the River Blackwater for the first time ever.
